To the Ones Who Love Like Stars
A soul-letter for those who wonder what friendship really means
There are people who don’t keep in touch...
but keep you in their sky.
Not in your daily life, but woven into your inner world.
You may not speak often — or at all.
And still, something in you feels seen.
Maybe you’ve never fit the usual meaning of “friend.”
You don’t seek closeness or constant contact.
You don’t ask about details, or where someone’s been.
You ask:
“How has life been moving through you?”
“What has silence whispered lately?”
“How does your soul feel now?”
You don’t intend to be in someone’s life
not as a role or responsibility.
You simply cross paths when life says now.
You don’t hold on. You don’t explain.
And still, your presence is real.
You may go months — even years —
without speaking to someone you love.
But your care didn’t leave.
It just lives differently. Quieter.
You love like still water, not rivers.
Like stars, not candles.
You don’t burn near ,
you shine from afar.
Constant. Silent. Light.
For a while, maybe you wondered if something was wrong with you.
People may have said you were distant.
Uninvested. Detached.
They mistook your silence for absence.
Your softness for disinterest.
But what if…
This is just another shape of connection —Not less deep, just less noisy?
Some of us were never meant to live in the center of others’ lives.
Some of us came to live like open skies
offering presence, not possession.
Love, not looping.
A home to rest in, not a house to be locked in.
And when we do meet someone like us,
we don’t flood each other with updates.
We don’t ask what they’ve been doing.
We ask:
“What did you learn?”
“What changed in you?”
“What stayed the same?”
We meet soul to soul.
Without needing to be seen every day to be felt.
So if you’re here
living in a quiet season,
not seeking connection like before,
but feeling whole in your stillness…
You are not alone.
You’re just loving in your own way.
Loving like the stars do:
Far, but not absent.
Silent, but radiant.
Never imposing, always watching gently from the beyond.
You are still here.
You are still love.
And you are not lost.
To the ones who carry these quiet questions —
you’ve found a place that understands.

Oh my heart. This is me and my 2 bestf friends of 40 years. We love and hold space across the miles. You offer this so beautifully. You have given me the words for my way of being a soul-deep friend beyond society's standard expectations. I am not an everday friend.
I will publish a piece soon on my love of 5 minute friendship.
Thank you for sharing@
Nice!
